My parents used to have their shoes specially made, for decades, at Footwear Care for years, probably decades now. About 10 or 12 years ago, I drove them there to pick up some shoes they had ordered. They were always so pleased and satisfied with the shoes they got there that they encouraged me to try on some. I did. They ended up getting me a pair of Brooks tennis shoes and a pair of ankle high boots. I still wear both pairs of those shoes and they look better than any shoes I've bought since then, and are in much better shape by far. The sole's have not worn down one way or the other and the shoes are still as comfortable as when we purchased them. I came back in 2018 and bought my second pair of Brooks tennis shoes and they still look brand new, but because I live on the west coast, when I come to MI, I want to come back and buy another pair while I'm so close. So today, I bought a new pair of Brooks tennis shoes, I'm wearing them now and they feel wonderful. Above and beyond their great shoes, the service has always been expert. The people are so friendly and so thorough and do not make you feel rushed to decide on what you'd like to do because quite frankly yes they are expensive shoes, but people spend almost that much on name brand tennis shoes in regular stores and think nothing of it! The employees take the time that's necessary with me in order to make a sound, thoughtful decision. they are helpful, knowledgeable and respectable. I highly recommend them!

Dave listened to my concerns and found me the perfect pair of shoes that fit just how I need them to. I’m so happy I found this place it cuts out the hassle of having to order a million pairs online trying to find the right one! I highly suggest making an appointment and getting in there!

I have really wide hard to fit feet. The people here are super nice and take care of you. I was able to find shoes that fit me and they make me feel like a person. I just call and order in my next pair and they fit like a glove.

I am a Registered Nurse and have referred numerous patients here over the last 10+ years- all with different foot/shoe/walking issues. Many thought they were going to have to wear hard soled slippers or athletic type shoes the rest of their lives for every occasion. I highly (and often) recommend.

Personal service, A+. Personality, A+, Fellow customers felt and treated like family, A+. It's been decades since I've been able to walk with minimal issues. So wish I have their energy and dedication to perfectly fitted shoes.

This is the first time I’ve been fitted for shoes since I was a child. I’m an ER nurse working 12 hour shifts and am on my feet for long periods of time and all the shoes I’ve had haven’t been as supportive as the Brooks that Shawn recommended for me. I’ve only worn them for one shift so far and I can tell the difference in the support and fit. Dave was super helpful when I picked them up and encouraged me to come back if I had any issues at any point. 1000/10 would recommend this small business. They know what they’re talking about and I will 100% be returning!

Footwear Footcare is the best place I've ever been to for getting the "RIGHT" pair of shoes. It was the difference between night and day when I left the store. They are very knowledgeable when it comes to your feet and which kind of shoes are best for you. You need to make an appointment. They don't just sell you shoes and off you go. Dave customed my shoes for me to make sure I wasn't in pain while walking. They go above and beyond and you don't see much of that these days anymore. Highly recommend. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
